The Future Is Exciting When You're Following Your Dreams!

I'm going into my senior year of college as a Communications major. Entering into college, it was nerve-wrecking having to categorize yourself almost immediately into a major which will define your main career choice for the rest of your life. It was a toss up between early childhood education and communications. I thought to myself " I love kids and am good with them, and a teaching job will be guaranteed and more practical." I was wishy-washy about being a communications major when I began college because, now looking back at it, I didn't fully understand the major. As I became a junior and started going out in the classroom, I began to realize how I didn't want to become a teacher. It started to sink how I would be stuck in a classroom all day every day! I've done it for 15 years, I don't want to do it for the rest of my life!!! LOL. Also my mind started to weigh heavily on me that I should take the leap of faith and go after my real dreams while I'm still young or I will regret it. I talked to teachers, friends, and family about the communications major and learned about all the aspects involved in it, not just television or radio. All of my interest goes into pop culture, celebrities, television, movies, music, and social media. So last semester I took the plunge and switched my major to Communications, with just three semesters left, I was ready and eager to put in the hard work to come out with a communications degree! I have never looked back and have never regretted it since. It is the best feeling in the world to know in you're heart that you are on the right path to fulfilling your dreams and doing what you love and are truly passionate about. The future is exciting.
Moral of my story is, you're only given one life to live, so why waste it away? You're in charge of your own happiness. You should follow your wildest dreams and work hard to make them a reality. "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life."

Mikey P's private VH1 Dating Naked Premiere Party in Philly!

I attended the premiere party with my friend September 4, for the new VH1 show "Dating Naked," hosted by one of the cast members who's a Philly native, Mikey P! Mikey knew how to throw a banger, at club Roxy/ Bamboo Bar. There was a dance floor, drinks flowing, and different DJ's and performers killing it throughout the night. The guest list included all of his friends and family, well known Philly radio DJ's and a variety of reality stars from VH1 shows. All the guests mingled and the celebrity guests posed on the red carpet as they showed up. Then as 9pm rolled around, everyone gathered around all the televisions set up, to watch Mikey P's big debut on "Dating Naked." After we all watched Mikey choose which girl was his soul mate, by geting to know them um.. "inside and OUT," the music got loud and everyone broke into their best moves on the dance floor! It was really fun to get to party with all the reality stars at this private party! E...

Top 5 Fashion Killers at the 2017 Met Gala

On the first Monday in May, the Met Gala red carpet is where the wildest and most daring fashions are on full display.....except this year is recieving backlash for being a snoozefest! Last night's Met Gala was celebrating the opening of the Costume Institute’s exhibition, “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.” Mostly all of the celebrities who took the carpet decided to go more simple and elegant, which was not the point of this red carpet!? I don't mean get too crazy with your look, like holding your cut off dreads in your hand as an accessory... cough cough... ... but at least take a little more risk with your outfit. Most people looked more Oscars worthy than Met.  With the theme being Comme des Garçons, if you're going to go simple, at least have some decency and slap a little heart with eyes somewhere on your outfit!😉 Thankfully there were a few fashion risk takers who dressed according to theme and killed the red carpet, l...

Girls Night Out at Philly Fashion Week 2017!

Friday night, after dining on gourmet cuisine at Fine Palate, my mom, sister, and I attended the Runway I fashion show for Philly Fashion Week! PFW is always a super fun event, where all of the chicest and over the top fashionistas in the city, all meet up in one place. Friday night's show took place at beautiful Dilworth Park in the heart of Philadelphia. The list of talented designers goes on and on, one design more gorgeous than the next. Hot trends featured for this season were preppy mini skirts, sheer tops, sailor's hats, cold-shoulder blouses, and high- waisted trousers for women. Bold prints were showcased for men, from blazers to pants.  I definitely left the show feeling inspired and wanting to go on a major shopping spree to revamp my entire wardrobe with Fall's hottest trends! All I need is the fall weather to come along one of these days, so I can finally pair stylish trousers and a bold red lip for a night out on the town. ...
