Trendy, Tribal, and Totally Easy!

Who else is into the nail art trend!? With this trend, the crazier the nails the better! Every celebrity tries to top each other on the red carpets with their wild art on their nails! I'm no manicure professional, but I'm always trying out new design ideas on my claws! It's a cool trend because you get to showcase your personality and have your own unique mani!! Tonight I created a simple tribal design on my nails with bright colors, that is sure to catch people's attention for starting back to school! Here's how you can re-create this simple, trendy, statement tribal look:

First I painted my nails with a base color of China Glaze" in the color Flip Flop (this summer's HOT color! It's been flying off the shelves!) and then painted an accent nail with "Essie" in the color turquoise& Caicos.

Then I took four polishes: a lime green ("POP" loud lime), a purple ("ULTA" tutu cute), a yellow nail art polish, and a white nail art pen ("Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen" pearly white)
Here is where your art skills come out to play!  I  just drew simple patterns (using a toothpick for the regular nail polishes) with squiggly lines and dots using the different colors on each nail!

Then I finished with a clear top coat to keep my nails from chipping! Then when they were  dry, I went around the edges of my nails with a q-tip with acetone to remove as much excess polish from around the nails as possible.

There you have it as simple as that!

I want to hear from YOU! Have you ever tried out any awesome nail design ideas that wowed the crowd? Share them with me in the comment section below!!! And let me know if you tried out this tribal mani on yourself!
Xoxo

World Oceans Day 2017!

Today June 8th, is World Oceans Day, celebrating and raising awareness for my favorite place on earth. I could live at the beach. There is just something about the sun as my blanket, laying in the warm sand, listening to the waves crash, and smelling the salt air, that feels like home. I am my happiest and most tranquil when I am on the beach with my feet in the ocean. There is no greater bliss. My heart belongs to the sea. Today is an important day to me, because of course I want to keep my favorite place in tip-top shape 😁 The theme of this year's world oceans day is "Our Ocean, Our Future." Today is a great day to help raise awareness to others and remind them that we need to take care and sustain our home, the earth, and keep our oceans clean. If we all make small changes, and become more conscious, it will all add up and make a difference and help save our magnificent oceans and all of the beautiful creatures living in them.  Oceans are one of nat...

Perfect Pool Day Essentials!

Summertime and the livin is easy! With a high of 80 degrees and no schedule for the day, I decided to lounge poolside with my main girl Pearl. It was the perfect day of resting and relaxation! Instead of working in the office, I got to work on my tan. My soul was at ease and my mind was clear, as the sunshine beamed down on my face all day long:) See, not all Mondays are awful! Some of my essentials for the perfect pool day are: 1. A cute beach bag to carry all my items 2. A fun colorful pair of sunnies 3. My Red Stojo Cup - Makes staying hydrated so easy. It conveniently collapses into a leak proof disk to stick in your bag when you're finished. It's so perf for your pool side sips! 4. Sunscreen to develop the perfect tan, without the harmful rays 5. A good book- I'm currently reading "Treasure Yourself" by Miranda Kerr 5. My Polaroid camera with cute film 6. Glamour Dolls Lip Jelly- it conditions my lips in the sun and it's only $3.99...C...

Kicking off Summer from Spruce Street Harbor Park to South Street!

Last night I attended the Spruce Street Harbor Park kickoff party, which was my official kick off of Summer!  I got to sip watermelon margaritas and eat ice cream from Franklin Fountain with my best friend💕 on the waterfront, sitting in the sand, with music playing, and minus the crowds... it was a perfect Thursday night.  After we sampled the foods that will be featured at Harbor Park this season, and walked along the waterfront some, we took a little impromptu trip over to South Street to check out Eye's Gallery. I have been following Eye's Gallery on Instagram for a while, and have always been captivated by all of their colorful, cultural rich posts, and have been dying to go in-person.  Eye's Gallery is a beautiful little gem hidden in the middle of South Street. The gallery is a majorly co lorful bazaar and museum filled to the brim with Indian & Latin American folk art, jewelry & handmade gifts. One thing is cooler than the next as you walk ...
