My Kawaii Weekend 💖✨

This weekend was really fun and super kawaii!!! I spent it being a tourist in my own city. I took my mom down to Chinatown to get foot massages for her birthday! We're both the year of the monkey and since this Chinese New Year is year of the monkey, why not go celebrate it together in Chinatown! We made it a fun day trip and just walked around exploring with no schedule or plans. We got amazing Chinese chocolate crepes and bubble tea, went to the Hello Kitty store- which was a pink HK heaven, and much more. My mom even was feeling adventurous and tried sushi for the first time& liked it! We got matching "year of the monkey" necklaces to remember our fun day. Here are some photos from our Chinatown adventures🎎

Then the next day we went to the H Mart in Upper Darby. The store is full of all sorts of Asian food and products! There were all sorts of Japanese candy, live crabs and fish, mochi, and so many more different foods. Check out these pics of just a few of the TONS crazy products at the mart! If you're ever feeling adventurous and looking for something different to do, I see recommend you go check this place out.

It was so neat, it was like spending the weekend exploring another culture in my own backyard! SO much hello kitty too, which was a plus💕 I have so many new Korean beauty products and Japanese candies to try out this week!

Top 5 Fashion Killers at the 2017 Met Gala

On the first Monday in May, the Met Gala red carpet is where the wildest and most daring fashions are on full display.....except this year is recieving backlash for being a snoozefest! Last night's Met Gala was celebrating the opening of the Costume Institute’s exhibition, “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.” Mostly all of the celebrities who took the carpet decided to go more simple and elegant, which was not the point of this red carpet!? I don't mean get too crazy with your look, like holding your cut off dreads in your hand as an accessory... cough cough... ... but at least take a little more risk with your outfit. Most people looked more Oscars worthy than Met.  With the theme being Comme des Garçons, if you're going to go simple, at least have some decency and slap a little heart with eyes somewhere on your outfit!😉 Thankfully there were a few fashion risk takers who dressed according to theme and killed the red carpet, l...

Kicking off Summer from Spruce Street Harbor Park to South Street!

Last night I attended the Spruce Street Harbor Park kickoff party, which was my official kick off of Summer!  I got to sip watermelon margaritas and eat ice cream from Franklin Fountain with my best friend💕 on the waterfront, sitting in the sand, with music playing, and minus the crowds... it was a perfect Thursday night.  After we sampled the foods that will be featured at Harbor Park this season, and walked along the waterfront some, we took a little impromptu trip over to South Street to check out Eye's Gallery. I have been following Eye's Gallery on Instagram for a while, and have always been captivated by all of their colorful, cultural rich posts, and have been dying to go in-person.  Eye's Gallery is a beautiful little gem hidden in the middle of South Street. The gallery is a majorly co lorful bazaar and museum filled to the brim with Indian & Latin American folk art, jewelry & handmade gifts. One thing is cooler than the next as you walk ...

#OOTD

I've been really loving rompers the summer! They have so many cute ones out there, and they're totally cute and effortless! I got this one at Marshall's. I paired it with simple white wedges and some neon arm candy, to go with the neon embroidery at the neckline of the romper. It's perfect for a summer night out with your girlfriends!  What's your favorite fashion staple to rock this summer? Let me know in the comment section below!! Xoxo
