Frosting and Fashion

This past Wednesday night I went to see Justin Timberlake in concert at the Wells Fargo Center. The 20/20 Experience was definitely a major experience! Timberlake is one if the greatest performing artists of our time, and knows how to entertain and put on an extraordinary show.  He had the entire audience up on their feet, from beginning to end, as he took us through a musical journey. He sang popular hits such as Suit& Tie, Holy Grail, and Drink You Away off his most current album, The 20/20 Experience. He also had us travel back in time and sing along to some of his old classics like Cry Me A River and Sexyback. The theatrics of the show were one of a kind where the stage lifted up as a runway and allowed Justin to float in the air over top of the audience. He was literally right over top of me and my friend which made for amazing pictures! Then he sang a few songs on a little stage set up right in the middle of the audience which was very cool! Last night I went into the city to see Mary Poppins at the Walnut Street Theatre with my mom! Whenever I go into Philly for something I get way too excited about planning out my outfit, because I feel like you can get away with looking extra dolled up just for the heck of it in the city LOL. I'm constantly evolving with my fashion choices, and at the moment I'm very into keeping it classic and chic in black, white, and gold. Also I really wanted to wear the faux fur coat I just bought at Marshall's, since fur is really in this season! Today I created a fun makeup look using three Milani eye-shadows, in the colors pink, navy, and copper! This eye makeup look is perfect for green/hazel eyes because the copper and pinkish/ purple shade really makes your eye color pop!! And the new Milani eye-shadows go on super pigmented and are super long wear, which is a surprise for drugstore makeup! Follow the steps below to get the look: 1. First, I put the Bella pink shadow all over my eyelid and in the inner corner of my eye.  2.Then with a crease brush I blended in the Bella Navy shadow in the outter crease of my eye. 3. Then I brushed the Bella Copper eye shadow under my bottom lash line. 4.Then I used the shadow "Bootycall" in my Urban Decay Naked2 pallet, as a highlighter under my brow bone to define my brows. 5. Monday night I was lucky enough to go to Wells Fargo Center to attend the Ed Sheeran concert. I'll admit I only know like three Ed songs just because they're popular on the radio, but I figured it was something fun to do on the spur with my friend who's a huge Sheeran fan, and I was down to go pretend to sing along to some Ed Sheeran! When I got there I was so excited because they were the best seats I've ever sat in at a concert in my life. We were third row up off the floor right by the stage, totally up close and personal! Ed KILLED it!!! He's a true talent who puts on an amazing show and is a fantastic singer live! His set list included crowd favorites such as, "A Team," "Don't," and "Drunk."  Who knew the guy could rap too! I was stunned when he commanded the stage with his next- level guitar playing and showed off his rap game in his song "Take It Back" off his new album! Then he came out for an encore and closed the

I attended the premiere party with my friend September 4, for the new VH1 show "Dating Naked," hosted by one of the cast members who's a Philly native, Mikey P! Mikey knew how to throw a banger, at club Roxy/ Bamboo Bar. There was a dance floor, drinks flowing, and different DJ's and performers killing it throughout the night. The guest list included all of his friends and family, well known Philly radio DJ's and a variety of reality stars from VH1 shows. All the guests mingled and the celebrity guests posed on the red carpet as they showed up. Then as 9pm rolled around, everyone gathered around all the televisions set up, to watch Mikey P's big debut on "Dating Naked." After we all watched Mikey choose which girl was his soul mate, by geting to know them um.. "inside and OUT," the music got loud and everyone broke into their best moves on the dance floor! It was really fun to get to party with all the reality stars at this private party! E

I've been really loving rompers the summer! They have so many cute ones out there, and they're totally cute and effortless! I got this one at Marshall's. I paired it with simple white wedges and some neon arm candy, to go with the neon embroidery at the neckline of the romper. The weather for it being APRIL has been cray cray lately! It's cold one day, raining the next, and recently it's been turning for the better and getting a little warmer. It's tough to decide on what to wear to dress accordingly to the weather since it's so unpredictable throughout the day.  I decided to do a OOTD (outfit of the day) for welcoming this transforming spring weather. I decided to do a little California vibe to the look by adding my new Dimepiece "Ain't No Wifey" beanie I just bought! I've been wanting it forever and FINALLY just bought it when it went on sale, so I was super hype about it! :) Boyfriend jeans are perfect for a casual laid back cute spring look! I paired my AE boyfriend jeans with a basic gray vneck from Target I got for like $5. I decided to keep the accessories simple with a thin gold bracelet, and a double stranded chain spike necklace to add some cool edge to the look. To complete this look, I was excited to break out th

     I  have a total smoothie obsession, I drink them everyday! Today I wanted to try something new instead. Nothing like being holed in on a snow day to encourage experimentation in the kitchen! I decided to make this totally vegan-friendly, healthy, and delicious creation that I'll definitely be making again!        First I took frozen blackberries and blueberries and a splash of almond milk and blended it in the blender just enough so it was a really thick consistency. Then I poured it in a bowl, topped  it with fresh blueberries, a banana, hemp granola (Hail Merry), and drizzled about 1/4 teaspoon of organic blue agave syrup (from Trader Joe's) on top of it all.       This would be great as a snack, dessert, breakfast or lunch! It's guilt free and packed with nutrients for you! Put good in and get good out!      I figured I better make a new blog post, since I haven't blogged since last year....get it? Ha ha. ANYWAYS..      I was on Tumblr today and came across this little gem. It came from this Tumblr blog I follow called The Quiet Rabbit, and it's filled with cute little positive sayings and quotes. I thought this one was some great food for thought as we venture into this new year. The world moves at such an unbelievable fast pace, and we're all working towards following our dreams and becoming the best person we can be. As we're working to achieve greatness, we just need to remember that all good things take time and we need to remind ourselves to "be brave, believe, and breath."      Let's make 2014 a year without fear!
