The best part about Holiday fashions is that glitz and glitter is always appropriate! The more the better! There are many different ways you can incorporate some shine into your holiday look. If you're feeling bold, try out some sequin leggings or a sequin top, or a full on dazzling dress.     The weather has been crazy lately for October! Cold in the morning and night but reaching 80 degrees during the day! It's a constant conflict on how to dress appropriately for the bipolar weather! It's a perfect excuse to try to fit in all those summer pieces u bought near the end of August, and get at least one wear out of them before it turns cold 24/7 and you have to pack them away!     Today I'm showing you how to mix summer and fall pieces and mix patterns, which is always a difficult trend to pull off, because you may feel silly like you don't match! The key to pulling off this mixed- pattern trend is to keep the details small and a bit understated and try to keep a matching color scheme with the outfit. I chose a blue sundress with a detailed bodice and a bold colored zig zag pattern right under the bodice right above the waist, and a blue, black, and cream colored  tribal print fringe blazer for over the dress.   Last night My mom and I had the awesome opportunity to attend the Haute Couture fashion show which was the finale of Philly Fashion Week 2013! It  was my first time attending Philly Fashion Week, and it was a fabulous experience. When I showed up at the Crane Arts building in North Philly I didn't know what to expect. As we went inside, it was a lot to take in. The sights were one of a kind. Everyone went ALL out and dressed to impress to show case their individuality and personal style. There were no limits as to the fashion risks that were taken last night.      Guests were able to walk the red carpet with the Philly Fashion Week backdrop and get their picture taken. After the drinks and food were served and live music was drawing to an end  in the lobby area everyone moved into the main room and chose their seats around the runway and waited for the show to start.     The fashions were seriously insane!     Fall is a perfect time for trying out new styles and trends when it comes to fashion, because we are making that inevitable transition from summer weather to cooler temps! As I began to drown myself in fashion magazines to get educated on any new trends for this fall, two items stood out to me: A (faux!) leather jacket and an over sized army jacket. I noticed how so many celebrities in young Hollywood whose style I get inspired by, like Vanessa Hudgens, PLL star Ashley Benson, and Rihanna (just to name a few), have been seen rocking these two items with their street style of lately. Once I get something in my head I HAVE to buy it! Some call it a shopaholic, I call it helping the economy while staying trendy- its a win/win. :)     So naturally after focusing in on the leather jacket and military jacket, I went on a hunt to find them.     As I laid by the pool today soaking up the last rays of the summer, it really began to sink in how the sunny warm days are now getting limited! Fall is coming quicker than we think! Most people are excited for the change of weather, the crunchy leaves, hot chocolate, pumpkins, and hoodies. I'm a summer girl at heart, so it's such a drag that its officially coming to a close. You can find me in class daydreaming about laying on the beach with the salt air blowing in my hair. I'm laying out as much as I can to quick lock in a dark tan before I have to bundle up for the chilly weather. LET'S TALK VMAs SHALL WE? Oh my word I am SPEECHLESS! Justin Timberlake just killed it with an unforgettable performance at the MTV VMAs!!! I really felt like I was at a Justin Timberlake concert! PLUS THERE WAS A SURPRISE N'SYNC REUNION ON STAGE! My inner 90s girl was fainting!  Justin performed a ton of hits and had everyone out of their seats singing along and going crazy! Then to top it all off he won the "Video Vanguard Award," which was presented to him by funny man Jimmy Fallon. And won the coveted award for "Video Of The Year" for his hit song "Mirrors." It was so sweet, in his acceptance speech he said the song/ video were inspired by his grandparents and he dedicated the award to his grand mom. With this performance, Justin reminded everyone what a true music artist and performer looks like! He left me speechless. It was incredible.
