The Secret to Flawlessly Pulling Off The Mixed- Patterns Fashion Trend!

The weather has been crazy lately for October! Cold in the morning and night but reaching 80 degrees during the day! It's a constant conflict on how to dress appropriately for the bipolar weather! It's a perfect excuse to try to fit in all those summer pieces u bought near the end of August, and get at least one wear out of them before it turns cold 24/7 and you have to pack them away!

Today I'm showing you how to mix summer and fall pieces and mix patterns, which is always a difficult trend to pull off, because you may feel silly like you don't match! The key to pulling off this mixed- pattern trend is to keep the details small and a bit understated and try to keep a matching color scheme with the outfit. I chose a blue sundress with a detailed bodice and a bold colored zig zag pattern right under the bodice right above the waist, and a blue, black, and cream colored tribal print fringe blazer for over the dress. The jacket is the main pattern that draws in attention, and the simple pattern under the bodice on the solid colored dress doesn't make the outfit feel crazy and totally mismatched because it's understated compared to the jacket.

The main things to focus on while mixing patterns are these two tips: 1. Keep the patterns you're mixing simple, because if you have two big bold prints that are completely different you'll surely be fined by the fashion police ASAP! The 2nd tip for mastering this trend is to keep the patterns you're mixing within the same color scheme! This will ensure your outfit will all come together nicely in the end!

Girls Night Out at Philly Fashion Week 2017!

Friday night, after dining on gourmet cuisine at Fine Palate, my mom, sister, and I attended the Runway I fashion show for Philly Fashion Week! PFW is always a super fun event, where all of the chicest and over the top fashionistas in the city, all meet up in one place. Friday night's show took place at beautiful Dilworth Park in the heart of Philadelphia. The list of talented designers goes on and on, one design more gorgeous than the next. Hot trends featured for this season were preppy mini skirts, sheer tops, sailor's hats, cold-shoulder blouses, and high- waisted trousers for women. Bold prints were showcased for men, from blazers to pants. I definitely left the show feeling inspired and wanting to go on a major shopping spree to revamp my entire wardrobe with Fall's hottest trends! All I need is the fall weather to come along one of these days, so I can finally pair stylish trousers and a bold red lip for a night out on the town. ...

Philly Fashion Week 2016!

This year I was fortunate enough to attend yet another successful Philly Fashion Week. It was a fun night out with one of my bffs, because what compliments an outfit better than a friend by your side:) aww how cheesy LOL ! The crowds came out to watch the show, and they were dressed to impress- which I wouldn't have expected anything less. We're in Philly, where anything goes and creativity takes the cake when it comes to fashion! The fashions on the runway were magnificent, innovative, and inspiring. Even NYFW creator, Fern Mallis, came out for the event and sat front row gazing upon Philly's unique style. My favorite from the show was D Leak's unique take on fashion through bow ties! While watching the models with masks covering their faces walk down the runway, I thought to myself, how cool is that,to get to display your unique idea of strictly showcasing designer bow ties during PFW!
