THE MTV VMAs; A.K.A the JT Awards

LET'S TALK VMAs SHALL WE? Oh my word I am SPEECHLESS! Justin Timberlake just killed it with an unforgettable performance at the MTV VMAs!!! I really felt like I was at a Justin Timberlake concert! PLUS THERE WAS A SURPRISE N'SYNC REUNION ON STAGE! My inner 90s girl was fainting!  Justin performed a ton of hits and had everyone out of their seats singing along and going crazy! Then to top it all off he won the "Video Vanguard Award," which was presented to him by funny man Jimmy Fallon. And won the coveted award for "Video Of The Year" for his hit song "Mirrors." It was so sweet, in his acceptance speech he said the song/ video were inspired by his grandparents and he dedicated the award to his grand mom. With this performance, Justin reminded everyone what a true music artist and performer looks like! He left me speechless. It was incredible. Earlier on, Lady GaGa opened the show performing her song "Applause." she was crazy as usua

Trendy, Tribal, and Totally Easy!

Who else is into the nail art trend!? With this trend, the crazier the nails the better! Every celebrity tries to top each other on the red carpets with their wild art on their nails! I'm no manicure professional, but I'm always trying out new design ideas on my claws! It's a cool trend because you get to showcase your personality and have your own unique mani!! Tonight I created a simple tribal design on my nails with bright colors, that is sure to catch people's attention for starting back to school! Here's how you can re-create this simple, trendy, statement tribal look: First I painted my nails with a base color of China Glaze" in the color Flip Flop  (this summer's HOT color! It's been flying off the shelves!) and then painted an accent nail with "Essie" in the color turquoise& Caicos.   Then I took four polishes: a lime green ("POP" loud lime), a purple ("ULTA" tutu cute), a yellow nail art polish, and a

"Anyone can cook!"

Tonight I made ratatouille (inspired by the Disney movie, duh!) for dinner for my family! It was made with all fresh ingredients, and vegetarian friendly for all the veg-heads out there;) It was a perfect light summer dish. I found a recipe on Pinterest for it but tweaked it a little. Here's how I made it: 1 large eggplant 1 zucchini  1 yellow squash  1/2 of a large onion 2 tomatoes 2 cloves of garlic (chopped fine) Olive oil Salt, pepper, & basil for taste Set your oven to 350 degrees. Coat the inside of a casserole dish with olive oil. Cook down the tomatoes with some of the garlic, a pinch of basil, and olive oil in a pan. Then spread half of it in the bottom of the casserole dish. Then slice the eggplant, zucchini, squash, and onions and distribute them in a pattern around the dish. Then drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil on top of it, and top with the other half of the tomatoes. Then sprinkle with the chopped garlic, slant, and pepper. Then cover the cas

A Glamming #TBT ( Throwback Thursday)

Gotta quick get this throwback Thursday in before the clock strikes midnight.. ;)      Throwback to when I had the awesome opportunity to interview "Glam Fairy" and "Jerseylicious" star Briella Calafiore while she was in town starring as the character "Red" in the play "Grimm Women," which played down at the Adrienne Theatre.      I have been hooked on the shows "Jerseylicious" and "Glam Fairy" since season one! I just cannot get enough of the jersey fashion and makeup scene and especially the cat- fights and drama! On the show "Glam Fairy" I love Briella and Jessica, who work for Alexa Prisco's company The Glam Factory. I'm totally obsessed with their fashion sense and hair and makeup looks, so I was so thrilled when I got to interview Briella!     When I went to the Adrienne Theatre I was nervous as to how she was going to be, because most reality stars let the roller coaster of fame that their on go to

The Future Is Exciting When You're Following Your Dreams!

I'm going into my senior year of college as a Communications major. Entering into college, it was nerve-wrecking having to categorize yourself almost immediately into a major which will define your main career choice for the rest of your life. It was a toss up between early childhood education and communications. I thought to myself " I love kids and am good with them, and a teaching job will be guaranteed  and more practical." I was wishy-washy about being a communications  major when I began college because, now looking back at it, I didn't fully understand the major. As I became a junior and started going out in the classroom, I began to realize how I didn't want to become a teacher. It started to sink how I would be stuck in a classroom all day every day! I've done it for 15 years, I don't want to do it for the rest of my life!!! LOL. Also my mind started to weigh heavily on me that I should take the leap of faith and go after my real dreams while I&#
