World Oceans Day 2017!


Today June 8th, is World Oceans Day, celebrating and raising awareness for my favorite place on earth. I could live at the beach. There is just something about the sun as my blanket, laying in the warm sand, listening to the waves crash, and smelling the salt air, that feels like home. I am my happiest and most tranquil when I am on the beach with my feet in the ocean. There is no greater bliss. My heart belongs to the sea. Today is an important day to me, because of course I want to keep my favorite place in tip-top shape 😁

The theme of this year's world oceans day is "Our Ocean, Our Future." Today is a great day to help raise awareness to others and remind them that we need to take care and sustain our home, the earth, and keep our oceans clean. If we all make small changes, and become more conscious, it will all add up and make a difference and help save our magnificent oceans and all of the beautiful creatures living in them. 

Oceans are one of nature's most beautiful and extravagant wonders. Nothing is as calming and exciting as the sea.

  • They generate most of the oxygen we breathe
  • They help feed us
  • They regulate our climate
  • They clean the water we drink

First day in Bondi Beach, Australia I had a little heartache when we boarded the plane from Wellington, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia. I felt like a teenager saying goodbye to a summer vacation crush, but it was time to cash in the hastily bought ticket at the airport in Tahiti and move onward with our journey. As it turns out, Bondi Beach is proving to be an excellent distraction.:

Friday night, after dining on gourmet cuisine at Fine Palate, my mom, sister, and I attended the Runway I fashion show for Philly Fashion Week! New Things Happening at Summerfest 2018! Fun For Everyone!

Sunny days have us feeling like summer is just around the corner! Looking for a fun way to kick it off? Summerfest at Blue Cross RiverRink opens this weekend, and it supplies heaps of fun for the whole family!  Penns Landing, more specifically Harbor Park, is a classic go- to spot for date night, hanging out with a group of friends, or a family outing. Most of the time you visit there though, you are just waiting around to snag a hammock or bummed because life size chess and Jenga are taken... well not this year. Christmas Fun for Everyone!

I spent the chilly afternoon at Six Flags Great Adventure Holiday in the Park yesterday, to get into the holiday spirit. Tweety Bird, Bugs Bunny, and toy soldiers gathered around a ginormous decorated tree, and greeted everyone entering the park! Fake snow was falling down, as Christmas carols played throughout the park to welcome you into the whimsical wonderland. The entire park was transformed into a Christmas oasis with Christmas lights, decorated trees, and holiday characters all over for photo-ops. Families gathered to keep warm and to roast marshmallows in the s'mores fire pits and sipped hot chocolate. Many other delicious holiday treats such as Christmas themed funnel cakes and yuletide brews were available throughout the park as well. You could eat, drink, and be merry while watching the holiday concert in the center of the park with specials guests like Santa Claus and Rudolph.
